This is the sixth year running and last year was by far our best raising over $25,000 for a navy seal who was paralyzed from the waist down.
Each year we try and change ONE Wounded Warriors Christmas by raising money in bars across the New York area. This year with over 20 restaurants from NYC, NJ, South Carolina, and California we hope to raise $30,000.
This is who it's for this year:
"Stockings for a Cause 2017 to benefit Sergeant First Class (SFC) Thomas Janusz. Thomas spent nearly 12 years in the U.S. Army, serving 3 year-long deployments; twice to Iraq and once in Afghanistan. As an Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team Leader in Afghanistan, Thomas was severely wounded when an IED he was disarming exploded in his hands, leading to the loss of his left leg and left hand, along with numerous other injuries. His recovery lasted almost 2 years at Brooke Army Medical Center. Thomas is a father and husband who sacrificed himself for our freedom, its our turn to show our appreciation."
